Dura – Lite GRC products

Responding to increased pressure throughout the construction industry from the Health and Safety executive in respect of manual handling issues, Priory Cast Stone have recently introduced a range of lightweight GRC components.

With a stone like finish and typically weighing only 25% of conventional cast stone. DuraLite products are available in a standard range of heads and cills with bespoke items available by special order.

Many leading national and regional builders now successfully incorporate DuraLite architectural dressings, (widely accepted as adding perceived value to the property) into their developments without the problems often associated with dry cast products.

Storage, handling and installation are now much simpler and easier. With damage eliminated in most cases, there is subsequently no need for expensive remedial works.

In addition to the obvious benefits of weight saving and the ability to manufacture all components to a maximum 2 man lift, DuraLite products can be cleaned down with a pressure washer during the final clean of the brick work without fear of damaging the product.

Unlike some other GRC products currently on the market DuraLite does not have a painted finish and will retain its natural stone appearance for many years without the need for any remedial treatments.
